FENG SHUI / HOME READING

The same direction is not the same answer for every person.

Read the home first, then lay your life gua and the element your chart needs over it. The free part reads the building; the home-and-chart reading goes further.

Two layers of a home reading

Read the building first

Eight Mansions sectors, the Xuan Kong Flying Stars chart, and the annual directions answer one question: what is this home’s baseline?

Then the home and the chart

The paid home-and-chart reading lays your life gua and the element your chart needs over the building: room allocation, bed head, and stove facing.

Directions marked on your plan

Upload a floor plan and correct north and the facing direction, so the guidance matches the actual space rather than a set of numbers.

It starts with a floor plan

  1. 01

Choose a chart and the home

Pick an existing chart, or compute a free one first. Enter the home type and renovation state; for an occupied home, the reading assumes no structural work.

  2. 02

    Set the directions

Upload a floor plan and correct north and the facing direction. If you know the year built, the Xuan Kong period, mountain star, and facing star can be calculated.

  3. 03

    Mark the rooms

Select the living room, main bedroom, desk, and stove, so the guidance has specific places to refer to.

  4. 04

    Read the building for free

You get the Eight Mansions sectors, the Flying Stars chart, the annual directions, and an overall assessment without paying first.

  5. 05

Go deeper when you need to

Lay the life gua and the element your chart needs over the building for room allocation, bed head and stove facing, a layout prescription, and a full printable report.

What helps to have ready

  • A floor plan (optional; with one, directions can be marked on it)
  • The home’s facing direction or the main door direction (measure on site, or correct it on the plan)
  • The year built (optional; needed for the Xuan Kong period, mountain star, and facing star)
  • Birth year and sex of the people living there (needed for the paid home-and-chart reading; a life gua needs only year and sex)
  • A birth chart (compute one free first; a home reading works without one)

Feng shui guidance follows traditional practice and is offered for planning and reflection. It makes no promise about wealth, health, or any specific outcome.

Before a home reading

What do I get for free?

Eight Mansions sectors, the Xuan Kong Flying Stars chart (which requires the year built), the annual directions, and an overall assessment, without paying first.

What does the paid home-and-chart reading add?

Your life gua and the element your chart needs are laid over the building: which room suits whom, which way the bed head and stove face, a layout prescription, and a full printable report. Plan details and pricing are shown on the report page.

Can I do a home reading without a floor plan?

Yes. The building can still be assessed from its facing direction and condition. But marking directions on your own plan, or allocating rooms, is much clearer with one.

What if I don’t know the facing direction?

Measure the main door or the main daylight opening on site, or correct it against north on the floor plan. If you are unsure now, record it and correct it later; you do not need a new reading.

Do I need my family’s details?

Not for the free building reading. The paid home-and-chart reading uses the birth year and sex of the people living there (a life gua does not need the birth hour) to judge who benefits from a given direction.

Can I use this in a home I already live in?

Yes. For an occupied home, the reading assumes no structural work and works from bed position, facing, soft furnishings, and objects. Layout changes are only suggested when the home is being renovated.

Next steps

See the home clearly first, then decide.

The building reading is free; the home-and-chart reading is there when you need it.
